At this years «One belt one road» (OBOR) meeting the Chinese president Xi Jinping presented what aims to be the biggest infrastructure project in history to create a Chinese driven globalization project, that will dispense with the rules of the aging western dominated institutions. In his plans China will lead a new eurasian economic order. While OBOR aims to shift global economic power structures it will as well change the perception of the «West» and the «East» in a geopolitical but as well in a cultural sense. In this issue of Fabrikzeitung we focus on China’s new globalization on the level of economic shifts but as well on the transfer of Chinese ideologies, culture and aesthetics.
